NA spirits are the most interesting category right now and also the most overhyped. Some brands are charging $40 for flavored water with adaptogens. Others are doing genuinely creative work with botanicals that produces something worth drinking. The gap between the two is enormous and the marketing doesn't help you tell them apart.

The other thing about spirits is that you're mostly mixing them. NA gin in a tonic, NA whiskey in a mocktail. So the question isn't just how they taste straight. It's how they hold up with ice and dilution and other ingredients. A lot of them don't.
