I've found this to be a basic budget substitute for when you need a simple alcohol-removed red for dinner. I noticed a pretty odd taste with the very first sip, though the profile eventually settles into notes of black cherry, grape, and smoke. It's much thinner than a traditional red blend, so it feels more like a light fruit drink than a complex wine. It's not a horrible red as far as non-alcoholic versions go, but it's nothing to write home about.
